In the southern hemisphere, it would probably be called table mountain. It does remind me of the tablelands between Cairns and Townsville, only there's no rainforest in sight.

yeah, Salty kept saying it was a Bute as in Arizona/deserts. he's travelled most of the deserts in australia, and USA, and he loves that landscape.
Among the huge monumental butes and table tops BB would look tiny but somehow in it's preoper setting, it cominates the landscape. It has a veryiconic feel to it, and I would definitely rate it as a place with high Brí despite being a very well known sight. It's lovely.
