Another from Orkney: Not only are the stone circles, particularly the Ring of Brogdar, impressive - each individual stone is extraodinary. Allowing for the weathering they've recievied over the millenia, they still boast impressively angualr shapes and each dominates the aspect of the landscape behind them when you stand in the circle.

Feast

Taken on Sanday, Orkney at a Medieval Feast; authentic food, including stuffed Duck, wild hare in gravy, and vegetables roasted in medieval spices. All of it was created by a friend of mine, including wall hangings, room decorations, food, home made "baileys" (ok that might not be medieval but it's wonderful!)

Closed til July 17th!
Off to the wonderful Island of Orkney (above)via a trip through the Scottish Highlands. Hopefully I'll take some good shots up there, looking forward to showing them off. Just hoping the weather is not quite as biblical as it's been recently!
