One of my favourite memories of the Roman part of our honeymoon.
Ivy covers our entire back wall and is threatening to climb the back of the house. not the dark green ivy I remember as a child but the variagated ivy climber, with cream hearts and shiny waxy green on the outer part of the leaf; on red vine. I love the colours even though the Mr. is planning ivyocide on the plant if it continues to creep any further.
A little "pastel" from the photoshop :) I liked the aspect of the shot, it actually reminds me of the Avondale parkland. We spent many a happy sunday in Avondale as a child, just as my mother and her brothers spent in Le Bois in Brussells. I really enjoyed being where they had been, and that it reminded me of being young, seemed very auspicious!
In preparation - for what? a ceremony, an audience? - rows of seats fill the Square. The rain drenches them, the obilisk oversees them. Something is meant to happen, soon.
