Swans and Chimney Stacks

Only in Dublin
would two swans
crossing the docks
greet you in March

Light reflecting
refracting the image
of urban life
and city living

hazy sun and
smokey stacks
a tall ship mast
and two wild swans

Welcome to my city
cosmopolitan
21st century
metropolis

Welcome to my city
Viking terrority
mystical land
mysterious port.

New Dublin

A shot of the new landscaping at the Grand Canal Square, a resurgent part of Dublin's Inner City. Taken on a misty February morning 2007, as the building site began to yield to the "Urban landscaped Square" The red lights are affectionately known as "Dog's Mickeys" and the green lights are just bright enough to confuse you but useless if you're trying to negotiate the area without skinning a shin!

Shall We?

In this miserable "Summer" we're having, i just wanted to remind myself of the wonderful Spring weather; this was taken on Grand Canal Square, one March weekday morning around 7.30 AM as the Ducks contemplated an early morning dip.
